Rory Gibson is a husband, father, business owner, recruitment consultant and “wannabe” sportsman. After seeing a bit of the world and starting a career as a carefree young professional in London he moved back to his northern roots to settle down and open a recruitment business. His ethos is about getting the most out of every experience and this is the foundation that Gibson Hollyhomes Recruitment is built on. He likes to be treated fairly and believes that the qualities of trust and honesty are the key to professional success. None of these qualities appear to have helped him reach his personal goals of winning an Olympic medal, bringing up two well behaved children and running a business that allows him to achieve his other favourite pastime….Pub time.

Founding Gibson Hollyhomes over 10 years ago has without a doubt been the highlight of my career within Recruitment. Over that time I have learnt that success in Recruitment is quite simply honesty with both candidates and clients alike and this is how we continue to grow and retain our business. Overseeing the Sales & Service Division is my key responsibility along with directly managing our larger call centre clients. I am very much at the heart of the business and work directly alongside the team day to day and wouldn’t have it any other way. My passions spread into my personal life in the form of Marathon running having completed many courses within the UK. I aim to run an international marathon when my two, young, needy but amazing daughters will let go of my legs for long enough.

Chris joined Gibson Hollyhomes in 2009 with a view to helping the business grow and become a recognisable recruiter in Greater Manchester. Chris has played a part in Gibson Hollyhomes growth establishing clear service areas in Sales, Customer Service, Legal, Business Support and Temporary recruitment. Prior to working in recruitment, Chris had worked in sales for some market-leading companies in Manchester and as far afield as China.

Outside of work Chris primarily spends most of his time being bossed about by his little girl. Being a Manchester United fan he previously “enjoyed” watching his team find “success” year on year, however, now he just watches them!

Clare Corbishley, Senior Recruitment Consultant

Clare started her career in Fashion Retail and after reaching her goal of Store Manager for some prestigious brands she decided it was time for a new challenge. Following on from this she went on to work in Sales/Client Care within the Medical Industry, retaining and expanding consumer profiles. Having thoroughly enjoyed all areas of her earlier career Clare identified the common link which was working with ‘people’ which led her to her post as Senior Recruitment Consultant here at Gibson Hollyhomes.
Four years on and she has never looked back… within her Recruitment Career, she has been adaptable in recruiting for various sectors yet now focuses on the Insurance, Claims and Litigation market. She is a reliable, hard working with a practical hands-on approach and always perseveres to achieve the best results. Clare is professional and personable but doesn’t take herself too seriously amongst friends!

Fiona Taylor, Head Consultant of Temps Division

Fiona started her career in recruitment many years ago when she joined a large international Recruitment Company as a temp! She spent 14 years recruiting temporary and contract staff for many companies across Greater Manchester in her previous role where she progressed from Consultant to Temps Manager. Fiona joined Gibson Hollyhomes in February 2013 to set up the Temporary Division and brings her experience and knowledge of temporary recruitment to the team specialising on the office support side including, PA/ Secretarial, Legal, Reception, Admin and much more….

In her spare time, Fiona is a busy mum of 3, a master of multitasking and enjoys a well-earned glass of wine at the end of a hectic week!

Megan Hamnett, Office Coordinator

Megan completed her GCSE’s in 2014 whilst working in the food industry. She decided to further her education by securing a position on an Apprenticeship Scheme in Business Administration. This led Megan to Gibson Hollyhomes where she gained an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration and within 12 months to becoming Gibson Hollyhomes’ official Office Coordinator. Working in a busy recruitment office has ignited an interest in Megan working towards developing a career in recruitment by embarking on an NVQ Level 2 in Recruitment Resourcing. At the end of a busy week, she enjoys a lot of retail therapy and socialising with her family and friends.

Craig has over 5 years of experience in recruitment, working from both Manchester and London and covering the UK and EMEA.
Craig has predominately focused on sales and client facing roles across a number of different verticals and industries and has joined Gibson Hollyhomes to help grow the Finance and Accountancy desk.
Outside of work Craig is an avid music and football fan and supports his home team Burnley FC, the darlings of the Premier League.

Jessica graduated from the University of Leeds in 2016 with a degree in Psychology. Even though she enjoyed her degree, like the majority of people on the course, she decided to move on to something completely different.
Having worked for a leading hospitality chain for 4 years, Jessica developed strong customer service skills through her constant need to chat. Jessica wanted a career where she could incorporate her love for people and sales and so decided to embark on a career in recruitment.
Originally from Liverpool, in her free time she enjoys visiting her family and friends back home; alongside frequent trips to theme parks all around the country.

Jenny started her recruitment career at the tender age of 21 predominantly focusing on business support recruitment. Having worked for national agencies,  Jenny became aware of Gibson Hollyhomes due to being a direct competitor and considered them to have a very honest and impressive reputation in the recruitment market. She has joined to support Hannah developing the legal support desk in the North West. In her spare time, you can probably find her up a mountain, gaming or be binging on an American TV box set.

Bryony graduated from the University of Chester in 2015 with a degree in Drama and Theatre studies. After travelling around Australia and New Zealand, realising she wasn’t going to be in the next Hollywood hit, Bryony’s chatty and enthusiastic personality led to her falling into a role within Recruitment as a Temporaries Consultant. Outside of work Bryony can be found either in the boxing ring, socialising with her friends or walking her Jack Russell.

Rachel graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2014 with a degree in Law. After realising she didn’t want to be the next “Elle Woods” she took time out to travel North America and Australia. During her time in Australia, she developed excellent administrative skills in the Finance and Recruitment sectors. On Rachel’s return from Sydney, she decided to pursue a career in Finance and has joined Gibson Hollyhomes as a Financial Administrator to further develop her skills. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spectating and taking part in Musical Theatre and trying out new restaurants with friends and family.

After graduating Newport University with a degree in Performing Arts, Samantha traveled the world. She managed to find a role in California running a pop up food stall travelling round to many entertaining events.  On returning to the UK she decided to get her Wings and work for British Airways. This time the travelling was fully paid for. With a desire to eventually put down some routes, she has joined Fiona on the temps desk.  Samantha’s aim is to help Fiona continue to place the best candidates in Manchester within our ever expanding client base.  Outside of her new role, Samantha can be found in Manchester’s ever evolving night life, with a group of girls loving life.

Omega started her professional career working in procurement, after 3 years she decided to try her hand at something new and exciting in the world of recruitment. She started her journey in the engineering, scientific and construction sectors, before finding her passion in accountancy and finance. Omega joined Gibson Hollyhomes, after being attracted to the honest, ethical and refreshing approach the business takes to servicing it clients and candidates. She will be helping to grow the presence of the accountancy and finance division in Leeds covering the Yorkshire area. In her spare time Omega enjoys catching up with friends and family, trying new restaurants and binge watching the latest series on Netflix.

Jack graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2016 with a degree in Human Geography. Since then worked as a sales/lettings negotiator in Sheffield and most recently as a land consultant working on major transport infrastructure schemes  across the UK. Jack is a huge football fan who loves to travel to different cities around the world to watch various football matches and visit stadiums. He has joined to help grow the Professional Services team with a focus on Property.

Outside of the office Jack likes to keep fit at CrossFit, playing squash and socialising with friends.

Leanne started her career in Media and Marketing Sales in 2012 after moving to Leeds for University. She is looking forward to bringing 8 years sales experience, skills and knowledge to Gibson Hollyhomes and even more excited to become a Recruitment Consultant. Part-time and past it DJ and button pusher, Leanne likes socialising with friends and spending time with family. She also loves Berlin, enjoys cooking and a good BBC drama.

An outgoing lad with 5 and a half years recruitment experience starting within the Education sector gradually moving into the Sales sector with great success.

When Alex is not grafting in the office, he enjoys listening to his favourite bands such as The Smiths, The Courteeners and Fleetwood Mac. He’s always up for a good time, an avid Ibiza party goer that looks forward to the annual trip every year in the summer with the lads. On the flip side, Alex enjoys skiing in the colder months and enjoys sipping Jager on the mountains.

Stepping back from the partying and socialising, Alex also likes the calmer things in life such as spending countless hours in the summer on the bank carp fishing and getting ripped off his friends for acting like an older chap.

Born in the Ukraine, growing up in Oz then moving to the UK at a young age, Tamara joined us here on the Legal Desk after only 6 months in recruitment.

Having attended The University of Liverpool and studied Law, she moved to Manchester to pursue her passion for business development and great customer service due to her experience within Property and Hospitality.

Outside of the office, Tamara can be found on the polo pitch in the summer, in a cosy pub in the winter, and spending time with her friends whenever she can with a glass of wine in hand!

Stephanie Lythgoe, Leeds Business Manager

Stephanie started her career in Beauty Therapy and like many a Recruiter, fell into the industry 13 years ago. Working in various sectors including Commercial and General recruitment in both the temporary and permanent divisions, she is now excited about her niche in the Legal market.

Working her way up from Temps Consultant, moving into the permanent sector and being promoted to Branch Manager, Stephanie joined GHH in January 2020 to head up the Leeds office.

Stephanie is a huge music fan and you can find her in low key gigs or at a big arena tour. Also a Mum to two amazing little people!

Amie graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011 with a degree in Media Studies. As a result of being a people person through and through, she now has almost 10 years’ experience in sales and client services, having worked in various sectors such as Finance, Accounting and Marketing.

When Amie isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending her time walking an adorable Doberman, going the cinema or enjoying a well-earned pint or two at her local.
