Our client is market leading global communications provider based in South Manchester. They have over 700 employees globally with offices in USA, South Africa and Australia. They are looking to hire a Print Buyer to join their expanding procurement and buying team! You would be reporting to the procurement manager and you will be responsible for:

Key responsibilities

  • You would effectively manage daily work to lists for RFQs/enquiries and orders in accordance to SLAs
  • Additionally, produce clear and timely purchase specifications & instructions to suppliers & internal departments
  • Ensuring the Vendor Management System is kept up to date in particular within the Web Print category
  • Using Excel to build tables and matrices to summarize information
  • Manage data by sorting, filtering and generating basic calculation/statistical functions
  • Identify, build and manage a specialist network of ‘best in class’ suppliers
  • Negotiates with suppliers to achieve best value within quality & time SLAs
  • Assists account management in decision making for placing jobs internally/externally based on capability

Skills required

  • The desired candidate would have 2 years’ experience within a Print purchasing related Services background
  • Have a working knowledge and solid understanding of the MIS systems, tools and calculators
  • Be creative & imaginative in ideas for efficiency within the role

For this you will receive a competitive base salary of £30,000+ benefits and a clear plan of progression.
