An opportunity for a driven and ambitious finance professional to take the next step in their career by joining the fantastic business headquartered in Bradford. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to work within a fantastic team where fantastic support and guidance is provided throughout.

Our client are looking for the ideal candidate to have previous experience working in a finance department. A candidate who has worked in an Accounts Assistant Post previously but looking to have additional duties within their role as well as an excellent opportunity for your career to progress. It is expected that the successful candidate will be working towards their AAT qualification, with the intention of ultimately working towards being fully ACCA/CIMA qualified.



  • Post all Group cashbooks on a weekly basis and at month end using the correct financial coding
  • Reconcile the Group’s Invoice Financing facilities on a monthly basis
  • Involvement in analysis of depot cash flow forecast variances
  • Responsibility for the Accounts Payable ledger for Group and IT, including querying invoices, preparation of BACS runs, and applying payments to the ledger
  • Code and post all employee out of pocket expenses for Group and IT to the ledger using correct coding and ensure all are posted monthly in time for month end
  • Responsibility to prepare and post Group and IT prepayments on a monthly basis
  • Perform month end balance sheet reconciliations for a number of balance sheet accounts
  • Reconcile Group intercompany current accounts and loan accounts on a monthly basis and resolve any reconciling items with the relevant Depot Accountant
  • Produce, distribute and post all Head Office recharges on a monthly basis, producing them at least 3 working days prior to month end
  • Resolve queries with the relevant Depot Accountants or Accounts Assistants
  • Produce and distribute the monthly group benchmarks
  • Assist with the Head Office VAT return
  • Produce and distribute the accounts for one area of the group accounts
  • Look for opportunities to provide further levels of detail and support and attend meetings with management to discuss the results
  • Primarily responsibility for inputting manual payment requests, ensuring accuracy in supplier provided details
  • Produce the monthly Board packs
  • Produce the monthly Bank pack
  • Responsibility for maintaining accounts for company charity and compiling the necessary information for filing with the Charities Commission
  • Complete National Statistics submissions
