I am working on behalf of a global and successful business that has been established for over 25 years. It is a dynamic company with a great reputation and strong presence in their market. Due to growth they are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Executive within their events team.

 

As a Business Development Executive within Events you will be responsible for researching and contacting prospects to secure new business. Networking and getting to know your market will also be a priority in order to promote the brand and connect with the right people.

Duties

 

  • Researching and understanding your target markets
  • Identifying new business opportunities and following them up
  • Calling prospects and introducing the events packages / services
  • Fact finding and understanding client’s potential needs
  • Securing appointments with prospects based on market intelligence
  • Producing weekly reports for the Head of Business Development
  • Ensuring data/information is accurately updated on CRM system
  • Connecting with key decision makers through networking

 

Requirements

 

  • Excellent communication skills and confident manner
  • Understanding of the events industry desirable (not essential)
  • Experience of developing new business and contacts
  • Self-motivated and driven whilst being a strong team player
