Our client is a hugely successfully family run business that has been established for over 30 years. They are a leading manufacturer and supplier of safety products distributed to both public and private sector businesses.

The company has excellent staff retention and this is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated person. You will be working in a niche market with limited competitors where there is scope to adapt the product and supply new sectors.

Duties

  • Maintaining the existing customer client base by networking and building rapport
  • Identifying new market opportunities through research and product knowledge
  • Managing and converting any new enquiries coming through quickly and efficiently
  • Negotiating with existing / potential clients on standard and bespoke product supplies
  • Seeking opportunities to sell the company’s products to suitable markets in the UK
  • Completing bids and tenders when appropriate in order to secure new business
  • Setting and attending appointments with clients in order to generate new business
  • Sourcing new products where appropriate and negotiating with suppliers
  • Managing your diary effectively to meet the needs of the business and clients
  • Understanding the products route to market, client base and the target markets
  • Achieving new business sales and ensuring potential clients are aware of the brand

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Field Based Sales position
  • Well organised, self-motivated person that can identify opportunities
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service
