My client is a well-established forward-thinking software company and due to recent growth, they looking for an experienced sales professional to join their dynamic forward-thinking team of Business Development Executives. The role will predominately involve meeting clients face to face on a solution led basis and providing excellent customer service to existing clients.

 

Key Duties:

 

  • Lead competitive presentations and pitches across all products and services – presenting and networking at industry events
  • Generate and win strategic new business opportunities (self-source, develop opportunities and follow up inbound leads) – including social media activity
  • Provide a consultancy driven service to recommend solutions
  • Manage pipeline – judging likelihood of conversion through to authoring proposals
  • Develop and draft bid submissions in response to tenders – in line with sales strategy
  • Solve problems independently, implementing the right solution for customer and company recognising commercial risk and implement the right solution independently
  • Independently manage relationships by having informed conversations with customers and partners
  • Have a detailed understanding of the services, products and packages delivered to customers and confidently translate technical information in a language they understand
  • Investigate internal and external blockers and problems and presents solutions based on our products and services

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in an e-learning or training environment (desirable)
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with blue chip partners, realise significant income and long-term contract arrangements (essential)
  • Experience in a consultative B2B sales environment (essential)
  • Experience securing order values of between £20K – 250K+ (essential)
  • Experience developing go to market activity strategies and plans (desirable)
  • Experience in an e-learning catalogue sale, software sales or training sales role (desirable)
  • Knowledge and awareness of educational and learning technology trends and good practice (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the elearning market (desirable)
