  • My Client is looking for a dedicated Secretarial Team leader to join their fantastic Manchester city centre company

The Key Responsibilities consist of

  • Open and close files coming into the team
  • Manage the full team’s diary, booking meetings, travel etc…
  • Prepare all correspondence from fee earners using the online internal digital dictation system
  • Liaising with Secretaries directly regarding all departmental/personal issues
    and also with the staff partner in the first instance with regard to any
    secretarial issues
  • Regular communication and liaising with HR, initially training them using the IT user guide and liaising with all relevant departments to get them settled
    and organised
  • Management and execution of annual reviews
  • Identifying training and development needs and executing them in the correct manner
  • Attendance Management – advising of cover in the department on a daily
    basis, maintaining holiday and sickness records, chasing those that have not
    entered data
  • Occasional requirement of attending interviews, and liaising with fee earners
  • Sets priorities and targets for the PA’s and is accountable for the outcome
  • Mentoring staff and being first point of contact to settle in new staff, and liaising with
    appropriate departments with regard to inductions/IT/equipment etc and
    introductions to the department
  • Liaising with all relevant parties with regard to departmental desk/room moves
  • Point of contact for trainees and work experience liaising with relevant
    departments with seat changes and equipment requests
  • Liaising with the Head of Department and Staff Partner regarding any other
    departmental issues

Skills & Experience

  • Supervisory skills and experience in managing a team would also be essential within a Legal or Professional Services firm would be advantageous
  • Excel and Powerpoint knowledge are required
  • Very strong organisational skills
  • A flexible approach and can-do willing attitude
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels

This role is a management role and previous management experience within a Top Tier Law firm would be advantageous.

Salary is dependent on experience – please enquire within.
