My client is a leader in their field of law and are looking for a Legal Secretary to work within their Patents team. You will be providing a high level of secretarial support to a number of partners and fee earners.

This role is perfect for secretaries who are wanting to get involved in more complex legal work and learn more about the IP industry.

Duties Include for a Legal Secretary:

  • Creating standardised documents through audio and copy typing
  • Assisting with the completion of patent applications
  • Taking charge of invoicing on client accounts
  • Providing high-level administration support to fee earners/paralegals on IP application processes
  • Assisting clients with IP applications
  • Assist with booking meeting rooms, travel arrangements
  • Amending and proofreading documents
  • Uploading patent documents onto client in house systems

Personal Specification for a Legal Secretary:

  • Previous secretarial experience is essential
  • Previous legal experience not necessary but experience within a professional environment is preferred
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages
  • Typing speed of 60wpm +

Salary for this role will be £20,000 – £22,000 depending on experience
