Accounts Payable Manager

Our client is a leading global communications provider based in South Manchester. They have over 700 employees worldwide and office across the globe. They’re looking to hire a Purchase Ledger Manager to join their growing Finance team of 15 and lead an Accounts Payable team of 5. Reporting into the Financial Controller the Purchase Ledger Manager will be responsible for:

  • Full ownership of the purchase ledger and payments function for the company
  • Responsible for a team of 5, processing an average of 4000 invoices per month across multiple currencies
  • Identifying and implementing improvements for purchase ledger procedures across Finance and the wider business
  • Building relationships with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
  • Supplier and internal query management
  • Overall responsibility for supplier accounts
  • Invoice coding and control
  • Month end control account reconciliation
  • Production of monthly accruals
  • Team management and coaching

Skills required

  • Experienced purchase ledger supervisor/manager
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Confidence in learning new systems
  • Strong communication skills

It would be an advantage if the candidate:

  • Has knowledge of Sage 200
