Part Time Sales Ledger & Cash Allocations Clerk

£12.00 per hour

Our client based on the outskirts of Halifax is looking for a Purchase Ledger clerk to join their team on a temporary basis for up to 3 – 4 months

This Ledger Clerk position is working as part of a team of 6 across both the customer and supplier ledgers. The ideal Sales and Purchase Ledger Clerk candidate for this role will bring experience to the team from a fast paced ledger environment.




  • To ensure that each transaction in the bank accounts is accurately represented in the General Ledger
  • Posting of unpaid direct debit transactions
  • Posting receipts for cash and card transactions
  • Allocation of cheques received
  • Inter-company allocation
  • Query resolution in relation to transactions and payments




  • Previous experience working within a transactional level role within an Accounts/Finance department
  • High attention to detail
  • Methodical / process driven approach to your work
  • Experience of multi-ledger allocation/journals
  • Used to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent team working skills

The Offer:


Social working hours Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm

3 – 4 month contract with the potential to extend
